VISION

Darwin's frogs, unique in the world for their remarkable reproductive trait, are conserved and valued as an emblem for the protection of native forests in southern Chile and Argentina.

Goals - Rhinoderma rufum

In 15 years, the presence of at least one local population of R. rufum is identified, and the total population size of the species is 51 to 249 mature individuals, which qualifies as a "fair" condition.

Goals- Rhinoderma darwinii

In 15 years, the area of occupancy of R. darwinii is between 500 and 1,999 km2, which qualifies as a "good" condition.

Target 1

Control and mitigate the impact of the threats affecting populations of the genus Rhinoderma.

Target 2

Strengthen the conservation of Darwin's frogs through the protection of their populations, the restoration of their habitat, conservation-applied research, and the education of the community and key stakeholders.

Target 3

Have governance and institutional arrangements in place that enable coordination between services and organisations, along with funding for the development of actions.
